STEM Scholarship Program


Initially established as an endowment by two local educators, Jack and Virginia Mashin, the purpose of the STEM Scholarship Program is to increase the number of students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The scholarships are provided to earn undergraduate degrees and students must attend a college or university in San Diego County.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Up to $2,500 per year

  • Mentoring
  • Assistance with other financial aid

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Be a high school senior attending a school in the San Diego Unified School District
  • Possess high academic achievement in all subject areas with demonstrated academic excellence in mathematics or science
  • Meet the UC/CSU University admission requirements
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Participate in both school and community activities
  • Pursue a college course of study leading to a degree in math, science, technology, or engineering
  • Plan to attend a college or university in San Diego County
