Meeting Needs
San Diego Education Fund is on a mission to prepare our next generations of teachers and STEM professionals for the workforce. Our scholarships provide educational opportunities for the students who want and need them most. Along the way, we provide counseling, mentoring and team building to steer students toward success.
STEM Program
The San Diego Region is a hotbed of science and technology. As home to multiple research institutions, life science and tech companies, opportunities abound for STEM professionals. We provide aspiring professionals with the education they need to compete in the fast-moving fields of STEM. STEM Scholars must plan to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics and plan to attend a community college or four-year college in San Diego County.
Teacher Program
San Diego Education Fund develops the talents of home-grown teachers to work for San Diego Unified School District, sometimes at the very schools they once attended. Through the years, more than 400 of our alumni have returned to the district to teach more than 75 of its schools. To qualify for funding, Teacher Scholars must plan to pursue a career in teaching, attend a community or four-year college in San Diego County and agree to teach afterward at a San Diego Unified School District campus.
