Welcome aboard, Alex Nguyen!

We are delighted to welcome Marston Middle School Vice Principal Alex Nguyen to our Board of Directors. Alex’s long history with San Diego Unified began as a student at Crawford High School where, with strong encouragement from an English teacher, she applied for and received a San Diego Education Fund scholarship.

At San Diego State University, her hard work earned a bachelor’s degree in international business, teaching credentials in French and business, a master’s degree in curriculum and instructional development and an administrative credential.

Since 2000 at Marston Middle School, Alex has worked as a peer coach, literacy administrator, 6th grade teacher and today as vice principal.

Alex was 8 when she emigrated to the United States from Vietnam. She speaks English, Vietnamese and French.
