Do the math? She’d love to.

As a sophomore at The Preuss School, Angelina Abdelrahman started tutoring math twice a week. That year, she helped eight students pass all of their tests and enabled two who were at risk of being held back to graduate.

Tell Angelina to do the math and she’ll say she’d love to.

“It’s fun and it makes me feel empowered when I solve an equation correctly,” she said.

Math + Teaching = Career Goal for Angelina, and we are excited to support her with a San Diego Education Fund Teacher Scholarship.

Today, as she brings her senior year to a close, her next step is to enroll at one of the colleges to have accepted her application, including San Diego State University, CSU San Marcos, CSU Long Beach and UC Berkeley.

In addition to helping her peers do the math, Angelina is big on helping others. Her volunteer work includes service with Triton Student Unite for National Alliance on Mental Illness Club (President); Walter Munk Foundation for Oceans (social media designer); National Honors Society (member); Rho Kappa Honors Society (member); The Pruess Insider (editorial editor); Tree San Diego (intern), and San Diego Beach Improvement Group (administrative assistant).

Congrats, Angelina!
